Opal Stud Earrings with Vintage Bohemian Glass Fire Opals and Gold-tone Petal Settings

These stud earrings feature vintage Bohemian glass fire opal jewels, hand crafted by artisans in the early 1900s in Czechoslovakia, a region renowned for its exceptional glass artistry.
Bohemian glass has been renowned for centuries for its high quality, intricate craftsmanship, and vibrant colors. The glass opals created in this tradition were often made using layering techniques, special foils, and unique color infusions to mimic the play of color found in natural opals.
These stones have a milky base, with highlights of gold, aqua, green and red. When they catch the light, they seem to glow with fire from within. They are set into a solid brass openwork filigree flower petal setting with stainless steel earring posts. Lightweight comfortable all day wear.
